In 1992, the new engine liquid cooling for the debut of the Suzuki GSX-R 1992 was introduced 750W (W means water cooling – water) to equalize and reduce the growing warmth in severe racing conditions.

However, seven years experience cooling oil is not completely abandoned and the new engine of the Suzuki GSX-R 750 1992 offered the best of both worlds: the piston cooling oil injection and oil cooler are water-cooled, were some of the features incorporated in the new engine for a more compact motor and higher reliability, which also allowed the reduction cylinder 10 mm in width and 57 mm in the crankcase.

The cover of the lighthouses became cheaper and lighter, plastic rather than glass cover most expensive in the previous model.

New chassis tube cast aluminum 5-sided swingarm with increased torsional stiffness by 24%.

In the US market the 1992 model was the same as the 1991 model, but with the decor a bit changed. The water version was not introduced until 1993. In other markets the water cooled with that “marker decor” as characteristic of the model 1992 version was introduced.
