Ofrec\u00eda <strong>160 CV a 11.000 rpm<\/strong> y la moto era capaz de hacer un cuarto de milla en menos de 10 segundos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001<\/strong> es ligera, potente y m\u00e1s equilibrada que cualquier r\u00e9plica  de carrera urbana legal e incluso mucho m\u00e1s que algunas motos de carreras.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La nueva <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001<\/strong> fue votada como la mejor moto Internacional del A\u00f1o en 2001 por 13 revistas de motocicletas de todo el mundo. La <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750 <\/strong>gan\u00f3 el premio en 1997.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001<\/strong> no era s\u00f3lo una versi\u00f3n alargada de la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750<\/strong>, si bien compart\u00eda muchas caracter\u00edsticas con su hermana peque\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El  bastidor principal es b\u00e1sicamente el mismo en ambos modelos, pero el  material utilizado en la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001<\/strong> es de 0,5 mm de grosor. Seg\u00fan Suzuki, la rigidez torsional del bastidor se increment\u00f3 un 10% en comparaci\u00f3n con la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750<\/strong>. Las dimensiones de la moto tienen m\u00e1s en com\u00fan con la <strong>Suzuki RGV500<\/strong> de carreras que con la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El motor de la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001<\/strong> era b\u00e1sicamente un motor de redise\u00f1o de la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750<\/strong>. Tiene 1 mm de di\u00e1metro mayor y 13 mm m\u00e1s larga de carrera, de nuevo dise\u00f1o, pistones con menor corona y equilibrador de  la lucha contra engranajes, por mencionar algunas diferencias. El  motor pesa 59 kg, que es ligeramente m\u00e1s pesado que el  motor de <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750,<\/strong> pero 14 kg m\u00e1s ligero que el motor de la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uso  de titanio para el tubo de escape y el interior del silenciador de  escape de la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2001 <\/strong>se ha convertido en 1,8 kg m\u00e1s ligero en  comparaci\u00f3n con la <strong>Suzuki GSX-R 750<\/strong>. El titanio tambi\u00e9n se utiliza en las horquillas, los tubos interiores est\u00e1n recubiertos con este material resistente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una v\u00e1lvula de escape ha sido montada en el interior del tubo de escape. Suzuki  dice que el sistema coincide con el escape a la velocidad del motor,  posici\u00f3n del acelerador y la selecci\u00f3n de marchas para el aumento del  par motor, menos emisiones y el ruido
