Disput\u00f3 el Campeonato Mundial de Motociclismo en la d\u00e9cada de 1980 y en la de 1990, donde corri\u00f3 con la marca\u00a0Suzuki.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fue campe\u00f3n de la categor\u00eda 500cc en 1993, segundo en 1990, tercero en 1991, y cuarto en 1989, 1992 y 1994. Se destac\u00f3 en el\u00a0Campeonato del Mundo de Motociclismo\u00a0durante finales de los\u00a0a\u00f1os 1980\u00a0y principio de los\u00a0a\u00f1os 1990, con la marca\u00a0Yamaha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se consagr\u00f3 tres veces campe\u00f3n en la especialidad de 500cc\u00a0en 1990, 1991, y 1992, subcampe\u00f3n en 1989 y 1993, y tercero en 1988.
